SOFTICE/WINICE
error ("This program will not run with debuggers installed")
can occur with a very small percentage of installations : This issue
is described at Microsoft
Support (with various fixes). As well, many documented
instances on the Internet show that Nero Burning Software version 6
places the debugger on the PC and that uninstalling NBS 6 easliy
removes this problem. We will contact Nero to determine a better
solution than uninstalling their product. [Debuggers are
commonly used for reverse engineering]

! If you happen to install other scanner programs, we have
noticed one scanner program that installs itself as a TWAIN source
and may disrupt all TWAIN-dependent scanner software, even after it
is uninstalled. Fortunately in SOHO Scan Solution, you can easily
spot the culprit by clicking "twain source" and changing
sources. [you might have to close/open SOHO in order to fully close
the errant TWAIN session]. The offending program is highlighted in
the image below.

This error gets fixed in Version 3.0. As of May 11th, we have removed
the Windows 98 and ME systems compatibility from download.com.

import greater than 1:4 or 4:1 ratio images as product is designed
primarily for camera image work and scanner bed image work (with
their import standards of 8-1/2 x 11, 8-1/2 x 14, 4 x 3, 16 x 9, 6 x
4, and other).

very high dpi
scanner settings will require a more powerful pc and it is up to the
user to test any very high settings before purchasing this software
if they intend to use very high settings.

saves in
24-bit color, excellent quality .jpg or .bmp, imports 8-bit b/w, 24
bit color. We recommend test-viewing your "My Pictures"
folder images which is selected automatically when you first start
the program. You should find the program will import a very wide
range of formats besides .jpg and .bmp.
